The brief
Mary Claire Kendall's website needed to preserve a significant body of existing material while presenting her current work with greater clarity and authority.
The starting situation
The redesign had to improve structure and presentation without losing the books, film material, interviews, speaking catalogue, press coverage and personal archive that made the original site valuable.
Our role
The new platform presents Mary Claire Kendall as an author and commentator with a connected body of work across books, cinema, faith, interviews and public speaking.
How the work operated
The problem was not a lack of material but an abundance of it. The content needed a stronger hierarchy, clearer routes and a visual system able to hold archival and current work together.
Books and content architecture
Four dedicated book pages sit within a wider structure for books, writing, cinema material, reviews, interviews and speaking. The work separated distinct kinds of material while retaining routes between a book, its coverage and related media.
Editorial and archive work
The rebuild involved copy editing, organising reviews and interviews, reconstructing a speaking chronology and classifying article and PDF material. Images were prepared, broken links repaired and supporting media placed in context so the archive could be explored as a body of work.
Delivery and handover
The core package included the website source, assets and deployment instructions, alongside contact and enquiry functionality and metadata work. Core handover was recorded in September 2026; later small visual correction requests were separate from that delivery.
