Weekly sourcing brief

The brief

Charlie worked as a guest producer for Have It Out with Galloway. The weekly brief was to source five to ten prospective guests for recordings, with differing perspectives who could challenge the host.

The starting situation

The sourcing brief particularly involved contributors from the British right. This was an editorial requirement to create contrast in the discussion, rather than a statement of Charlie’s or the agency’s political position.

Our role

Charlie’s contribution was guest production: researching and sourcing contributors for the weekly programme.

How the work operated

The work began with the programme format: identify relevant voices, understand their perspective and assess how they could contribute to a challenging conversation.
